2010 ACT ARTS FUND

Application Deadline: 5pm Wednesday 27th May

Applications are invited from all artists, groups and organisations for projects and programs of activity in any art-form that support, promote, present, develop or provide access to high-quality arts in the ACT in 2010.   The funding categories are Key Arts Organisation Funding, Program Funding, Project Funding, Community Arts Funding, the 2009 ACT Book of the Year Award, the 2009 ACT Poetry Prize, and the ACT Creative Arts Fellowships.  All those interested in applying are encouraged to attend one of two information sessions that will outline the types of funding available and provide helpful hints on submitting an application.  The one-hour sessions will be held at QL2 Centre for Youth Dance, Gorman House Arts Centre, Braddon, on Tuesday 7 April at 6pm and on Thursday 9 April at 12 noon. Applications for Program Funding, Project Funding, Community Arts Funding, ACT Creative Arts Fellowships, ACT Book of the Year Award, and the ACT Poetry Prize will close 5:00pm, Wednesday 27 May 2009. Applications for Key Arts Organisation Funding will close 5:00pm, Friday 19 June 2009. METROSCREEN JUMPSTART GRANTS

Application Deadline: Monday 1st June

Metro Screen Production Grants Jump Start allocates $45,000 annually in the form of equipment and facilities hire.  Metro Screen in based in Sydney and all facilities are located there.  Metro Screen’s Jump Start Committee typically comprises representatives of the Metro Board, their Facilities Department and the independent production industry.  Applicants should be realistic about the amount of subsidy sought and note that the committee expects a cash contribution by all applicants unless extenuating financial circumstances exist.  For full info and application forms: http://www.metroscreen.org.au/grants.htm

SCREENACT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ATTENDANCE SUPPORT

Application Deadline: Ongoing

ScreenACT is offering a limited fund to supply ACT practitioners with up to $250 per person, by way of non-repayable grant, to assist with costs for interstate professional development opportunities or other travel opportunities. The fund is intended to assist ACT Practitioners attend conferences, festivals, seminars, or specific one-off workshops. The type of events this fund is is intended for (but not limited to) is: × SPAA Fringe × Game Connect Asia Pacific × Australian Effects and Animation Festival × National Screen Writers Conference × Attending various festivals (providing you have a project that has already been accepted for inclusion in that festival).
